Erin spent some time with the children who were intrigued with her.
Everyone was stuffed back into the car for the trip back to Mpungu. There was Nate, Erin and I in the front seat; P.J., Albert the Ranger, and three pygmies in the back seat and six more pygmies including three women with babies in the rear of the vehicle.
As the Batwa departed, P.J. distributed the flour and beans.
We made it back a little late for dinner at the Guesthouse but were able to have a couple of warm beers with and after our meal. It was really a treat.
We were still experiencing shifting problems with the Nissan and Nate heard back from the Rental company in Kampala. They told Nate that they would send out a new breakfluid cap via airplane. He is to meet the plane at an airstrip where he can give the pilot a ride to Bwindi. This really benefits the pilot more than us, since the car is running again with Blackie's invention and Nate wanted to attend a church service for pygmies on Sunday morning where he could recruit more of them for forest treks and start the measurement process at the church. So I guess Erin and P.J. will do the church setup while Nate and I go to the airstrip in the morning.
