Uganda Log: Saturday 24 October 2009
We were met by Levi and Blackie in the Batwamobile and they loaded up as many Batwa as they could. So we had Nate, Erin and myself in the front seat of our car, P.J. and 3 pygmies in the next seat, and in the back was Albert, one pygmy and the goat. We all drove back to Byumba where the pygmies were asked to walk the forest with bioharnesses so that Nate and Erin could measure their movement and the energy that they spent. They were also thermo photographed before and after their trek.
Nate, Blackie, Levi, P.J., Erin and I had our usual Gino-packed forest lunch which consisted of a hard boiled egg, two slices of pineapple, a banana, and a half sandwich of peanut butter or cheese and butter.
